✨Highlights from #SBSEvent2026 ✨

Wow! Over 1,000 small businesses in one space. It was energising, motivating, and exactly the kind of room that reminded me why I started my own business.

It was amazing to hear stories from other businesses and listen to the deeply moving talk from @katiepiper_ .

I finally got to meet Rakha @desgn.prnt after all these years of chatting online from when we both participated in @rachaeltaylor_ online design school!

Listening to Katie from @yourdhlexpressuk about growing your business globally was very interesting and certainly made me feel more aware and informed about the ever changing global Tariffs, Customs & Duties.

Law firm Culbert Ellis provided some interesting information regarding IP and protecting your business. I feel so strongly about work being ‘copied’. It’s something I would love to advocate more on.

My highlight was of course meeting @theopaphitis and collecting my winners certificate. I was so thrilled that Theo loved my Jungle Dreams dinky cushion! It actually went home with him!

It was a jam packed day full of excitement, information and meaningful connection with likeminded people.

I really look forward to attending the SBS event next year!

💖Pink💖
Not the sugary, bubble-gum kind. I’m talking about those softened, time-worn pinks. The ones that feel like they’ve lived a little. Dusty rose, faded raspberry and warm terracotta blush - what I call, vintage pink.

There’s something about vintage pink that I love. For me, it feels nostalgic but bold at the same time. Like antique silk linings, 1930s wallpapers or sun-faded textiles found in a market stall.

Every wall in my little studio has this pink hue, the towel warmer in our bathroom, almost all of my designs feature this colour.
For years, I think this colour has always stuck with me, ever since I had my 1973 VW Beetle called Betsy in that beautiful vintage pink and off-white.

I will always love this colour 💖
