✨A rather special day in London ✨
I recently had the honour of becoming a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), and today I visited @rsahouse on John Adam Street for the first time.

The RSA has an amazing history. Founded during the Enlightenment period in 1754, as the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, it began when a group met in a Covent Garden coffee house with the idea of bringing people together and encouraging creativity, invention and ideas for the public good.

Over it’s 270-year history, the Society has brought together an incredible diverse group of thinkers, artists, scientists, writers, inventors and changemakers.

Its historic members and Fellows have included Benjamin Franklin, Charles Dickens, William Wilberforce, Marie Curie, Karl Marx and Isambard Kingdom Brunel, while its recent Fellowship has included names such as David Attenborough, Vivienne Westwood, Tim Berners-Lee and Stephen Hawking.

What I love is that they weren’t all from the same world, profession or even way of thinking. What connected them was curiosity, creativity and the desire to contribute ideas that could make a difference.

RSA House has been the Society’s home since 1774, and walking through a building with so much creative and social history felt incredibly special. It’s rooms have witnessed centuries of debate, innovation and ideas.

Today, the RSA continues that legacy as a global Fellowship of people working across art, design, education, science, business, social enterprise and many other fields, united around the idea of creativity for the common good.

For me, becoming an FRSA feels incredibly special and the beginning of a new chapter. I’m particularly excited about meeting other Fellows, learning from people working across completely different disciplines, and exploring how my own work can contribute.

Weekend sketching ✍️

One of my favourite parts of the design process is sketching and letting ideas evolve on paper long before they become patterns.

This weekend I’ve been sketching pagodas and Chinese style pavilions inspired by visits to Biddulph Grange Garden, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens and Kew Gardens.

These rough sketches are the starting point for what I hope will become part of next year’s collection.

I am so delighted to introduce a new fabric type, Vintage Cotton Linen .
A premium cotton-linen blend with a timeless, relaxed character. Printed using eco-friendly pigment inks, this medium to heavyweight fabric shows the natural weave of the cloth, adding depth and richness to every design.

Shown here is my newest design, Hibiscus Parade in Blushed Green.
Soft vintage greens and blush pinks create a nostalgic pattern that’s perfectly complemented by the rustic texture of this new fabric base.

Ideal for light upholstery, cushions, blinds, curtains and a wide range of interior projects. Each metre embraces the beauty of natural fibres. Small variations in the weave and occasional loose fibres are all part of it creating an authentic vintage style charm.

This means designs can now be specified more easily for interior projects while still staying true to our commitment to British production.

All wallpapers are printed here in the UK using a Canon Colorado M-series printer with UV gel inks.
This advanced printing process produces exceptional colour depth, minimal colour variation between batches and excellent resistance to fading.

Each roll is printed on 147 gsm non-woven matte wallpaper, creating a beautifully bright, smooth finish with exceptional print quality. The wallpaper is also paste-to-wall, making installation easier and cleaner.

✨Highlights from #SBSEvent2026 ✨

Wow! Over 1,000 small businesses in one space. It was energising, motivating, and exactly the kind of room that reminded me why I started my own business.

It was amazing to hear stories from other businesses and listen to the deeply moving talk from @katiepiper_ .

I finally got to meet Rakha @desgn.prnt after all these years of chatting online from when we both participated in @rachaeltaylor_ online design school!

Listening to Katie from @yourdhlexpressuk about growing your business globally was very interesting and certainly made me feel more aware and informed about the ever changing global Tariffs, Customs & Duties.

Law firm Culbert Ellis provided some interesting information regarding IP and protecting your business. I feel so strongly about work being ‘copied’. It’s something I would love to advocate more on.

My highlight was of course meeting @theopaphitis and collecting my winners certificate. I was so thrilled that Theo loved my Jungle Dreams dinky cushion! It actually went home with him!

It was a jam packed day full of excitement, information and meaningful connection with likeminded people.

I really look forward to attending the SBS event next year!
